Fewer full-service
visits to organise
Every time a liferaft goes ashore for servicing, someone has to arrange its removal, transport and return to the vessel. The VIKING S30 range has a 30-month full-service interval. Compared with an annual full-service schedule, that means fewer removals and returns to organise.
The annual inspection still takes place aboard, carried out by crew certified for the VIKING S30 procedure. At 30 months, the raft goes to a certified VIKING S30 servicing station for full service. Plan access to that station alongside the vessel’s route.

Start with the required capacity and how the raft will be launched. The container, installation, emergency pack and approval also need to suit the vessel.
Throw-overboard

Does S30 mean the raft needs no annual inspection?
No. S30 combines annual onboard inspections with full service every 30 months at a certified S30 station. Read the S30 service-interval guide for the inspection arrangement and planning considerations.
Can I keep the existing rack?
VIKING uses the same packaging and cradle/rack mounts across its standard and S30 ranges. The actual raft and installation still need to match. Include the current model and rack details so compatibility can be checked for the replacement.
Can you quote for a standard VIKING liferaft?
Yes. Use the liferaft quote form and enter the model or vessel requirements. S30 is one option; the required approval and service arrangement should guide the choice.
How do I arrange service for a raft I already own?
Use the liferaft service request with the make, model and due date. For an S30 raft, include its inspection record so the required service arrangement can be reviewed.
